W czerwcu blog Let's Get Shabby swietuje urodziny!

In June Let's Get Shabby celebrates its 3rd b-day! Because of that a really special challenge this month - pick any previous challenge! Gives plenty of possibilities- only the choice is difficult, there were so many great challenges!
If you want to play, I'm sure you will find something for you :) There is still time!
I picked challenge # 1, a photo inspiration.
Zainspirowala mnie vintage'owa elegancja, pudrowe kolory i koronki :) Wykonalam wg niej taka oto kartke
I'm thinking: vintage elegance, soft powder colours, laces...I hope you can see it in my card below :)

Just be yourself...
Dosc stosowne przeslanie na zakonczenie szkoly, prawda ? :)
Dzisiaj jeszcze jeden, bardzo mixed mediowy layout na plotnie. Czy juz wspominalam, jak bardzo lubie takie zabawy? ;) Szpachelka to zdecydowanie jedno z moich ulubionych scrapowych narzedzi.
Do zrobienia tla wykorzystalam blejtram, kawalki gazety, gesso oraz misty. Troszke wiecej szczegolow pokaze Wam ponizej.
...quite a suitable message for a school ending, isn't it?
Today yet another mixed media canvas project, I might have mentioned before that I simply love this kind of play...Spatula is one of my favourite scrapbooking tools :)
Quite a cheap way to make a shabby background - using a newspaper, glimmer mists and gesso. Canvas of course as a base. Few more details about that you will find below, in case you are interested.
Te prace wykonalam wg palety i szkicu Inzpira na blogu TheColorRoom.
The LO is based on the current INZPIRA colour palette and sketch at TCR.
Layout zglaszam tez na wyzwanie #5 na blogu StempelliKartoon ( sznurek, tektura i motyw roslinny)
Zegar-chipboard pochodzi wlasnie z tego sklepu.
Nieocenione gesso przydalo sie znow do pomalowania tekturowych ksztaltow wycietych wykrojnikami oraz usztywnienia szarego sznurka, ktory nawinelam na trzonek pedzla tworzac zawijaski.
Dla wlasnego uzytku dokumentuje czasem etapu powstawania prac mix mediowych, wiec jesli ktos ma ochote sie pobawic i pobrudzic (goraco polecam!!!) to chetnie podziele sie doswiadczeniami.
For my own use, I do sometimes take photos during the process of mixed media work - so if you are curious, you can have a look behind the scenes;) Who knows, you might get tempted to get your hands dirty and try:)
1. Start with adhering some paper pieces to canvas. I used newspaper here but scrapbooking paper works as fine. I added some paper doilies for a more interesting texture but this is really optional. I used mod podge as an adhesive.
2. Let it dry ( I speed the process with embossing tool). Apply glimmer mists . Dry.
3. Apply an uneven layer of gesso. Work rather quickly, before it gets dry. You might wanna remove gesso from some places, using a piece of cardboard, a spatula or wet tissues. Depends what effect you want to achieve and how much colour should peek through the gesso.
4. When dry, you can continue adding colour and gesso. I applied gesso stencil in the corners using Tattered Angels stencils.
Dziekuje za odwiedziny i cieple komentarze :*
Thanks for stopping by today and your kind comments!!!
