Blue Fern Studios - my first projects

Hello!
Today is my reveal day as a designer at Blue Fern Studios - so exciting!

I'm so happy to be sharing with you my projects using the amazing products from BFS. The papers are of an outstanding quality - heavy weight, great print, beautiful patterns both to use as a whole or pieces. The collections coordinate beautifully.
The chipboards are thick enough to take any mixed media treatment, but even raw they have a very elegant greyish shade so they can match to almost any colour scheme .

For my first layout I used Sanctuary collection, I've fallen in love with the rose images!

Chipboards : Quatrefoil panel, Tattered diamond bits.
When you get your chipboard panels, most of them are still including the cut bits which you normally pop out. I discovered that those loose bits are perfect as embellishments themselves! I decorated mine with gesso, ink, stamps and  covered them with glossy accents.

For the second layout I picked Ombre papers.
Chipboards: Hello Summer, Ginger Poppies

The chipboards are gently treated with gesso and watercolours, the same which I also used in the background.

Thank you for stopping by! Make sure to visit BFS blog and Youtube channel for more inspiration from my DT mates! You can find links in the task bar.

Holiday spirit - 7 Dots Studio

It's been quite a good creative weekend :) I picked one more challenge, just to play for fun and this time it's 7 Dots Studio The Holiday Spirit challenge which is just about to end.

I associated the holiday spirit with Krakow, where we celebrated Christmas this time. Every year in the city there is a contest for these beautiful nativity scenes, which are then displayed for public in the museum.
They are so impressive, some the details are just breathtaking!
They are called Szopki krakowskie, you can find some info on the web in case you want to learn some more about this tradition :)

Anyway - these scene became a theme for my holiday spirit!

Have a lovely day everyone!

Memories, memories - for Maja Design

Hello :)
I also have my first DT project for Maja Design to share here, which was published on Maja Design blog few days ago.
As I celebrated my birthday recently, for my first project I picked one of my favorite baby shots with my Mom. It’s a vintage scene and I could almost pick any of Maja papers to frame it, but eventually I picked an elegant palette of greyish beige combined with dusty pink and purple. Not so much media added- I really wanted to showcase the subtle tones and patterns of the papers ! Would you say that I combined 4 different collections here? They coordinate in such an perfect way.

Some more details and the list of supplies can be found in my first post on Maja Design blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

Some news from BFS

Hello hello!
Christmas and New Year are now behind us, vacation's over - I'm back to the virtual space and it's time to get to work :)
You might have noticed some new logos in my side bar. I certainly have some exciting scrappy adventures in front of me!!!

I'm honoured to be joining the DT of Blue Fern Studios!
BFS started the new year with a stunning  January sketch:

If you are craving for inspiration, head on to BFS blog to check out what the new DT (including my humble person) have prepared for you:

(I have given each BFS chipboard some treatment: the text is gently brushed with white chalk ink, the frame painted with texture paste and gold paint. The branch is coloured with wax crayons and acrylic paints.)

And that's not all yet- we also have a NEW COLLECTION coming soon! It will be perfect for all your love stories and more :)

Stay tuned!
