A dose of Blue Fern Studios projects and the peek of the new collections

Time to share a dose of BFS projects, which I did this month. There are also some news from Blue Fern Studios coming up.
Our last DT pack contained the gorgeous Vintage Christmas collection, so the projects below are mainly based on this line, complemented with the beautiful BFS chippies (ou can see the list of products in this post on BFS blog)

My last November project is a mixed media canvas - I had a blast with this one, layering the paper strips, laces, chipboards and embellishments. Chipboard pieces are brushed with a white texture paste.

Now, this is not all of it - we are excited to announce that we have 2 new paper collections for you.  The first one is our Timeless Paper Collection.  You will love the vintage, distressed look.

The second is our Blush Paper Collection.  This one features some gorgeous floral borders

That's all for now, be well out there!

I got inspired to use it this way in my layout:

Papers: Autumn Anthology.

If you'd like to play with us, you will find the rules on BFS blog here. There are also some fabulous entries from my fellow DT members, just to give you a hint of how you could use this sketch and BFS supplies.
Have a lovely day, wherever you are :)

Summer snapshots - for Blue Fern Studios

I hope you've all been great! I'm happy to be back and share with you some of the colorful snapshots from my summer.

'Bloom and grow'
It's all about the soft, white washed colors, with just a hint of teal and pink. The chipboards treatment is simple - I'm using either plain or just covered with a layer of gesso.
Chipboards: Deja vu border, Blue Fern frame (piece), Layering stems

'Totally love you'
This is one of my favorite BFS papers and I've been saving it for long! It's so decorative that it needs just a small amount of embellishments. I used piecec of old lace and chipboards to frame my story.
Some messy stamping is just added to get more contrast in the pastel backgrund.
Chipboards:Radiant suns, Blue Fern frame, Dot grid panel, Quaterfoil panel

'Remember (Krakow marketsquare)'
A selfie with my daughter while visiting Krakow marketsquare! A quick vacation layout, if you don't count the time for fussy cutting the roses ;)
Chipboards: Mixed chains, Grunge frames, Memory frames, Blue Fern frame (yes! again - this giant piece lasts forever)

Bundle of joy - Maja Design

If you read my previous post, let me take you back in time, approx 5.5 years when this beautiful blond girl was a tiny, dark hair bundle in my arms...can't believe how fast she grows!

This project I created for Maja Design, using the papers from the Vintage Baby collection.  You will find more details on Maja Design blog, have a look in this post.

Memories captured - with Deja vu by BFS

Last weekend we had such a lovely walk, spring is really arriving here!
For this layout with one of our photos from the Sunday walk I picked the back side of Petites cartes from Deja vu- discrete background with a soft touch of faded purple and yellow. So beautiful!

I've created a rich layering under the photo, using pieces of papers, chipboards and flowers. To add even more action to the backgroud, I've added some stamping. Halftone set is just amazing for background stamping and will match almost any style.

Chipboards: Circle vine, Quatrefoil panel, Captured words.
Stamps: Halftone

What a wonderful world -Blue Fern Studios sketch

Yet another spectacular sketch by Michelle is ready for you on Blue Fern Studios blog - have you seen it yet?
I was lucky enough to get my DT pack early and in it the youngest BFS baby - Deja vu collection, so I could use one of the papers for this layout.

The neutral tones of this paper are ideal for any kind of project with nature in focus.
I've tried to achieve a depth by combining different colours of mists, stamping and layering chipboards on top. I used some chippies as patterns to draw the silhouettes with the fine black pen.
Papers: Deja vu
Chipboards: Tattered butterflies, Layering Stems, Seasonal Wildflowers, Dangles
Stamps: Halftone

Here's the sketch we work after this month:

it's coming soon! But first things go first.
A layout which I've been showing on Maja Design blog few days ago. It's actually one of my first works which I have done after receiving my DT pack but somehow it ended up in a pile and I haven't got a chance to share it. Grunge Princess - Maja Design moodboard

hey there!
Couple of days ago there was a new moodboard published on Maja Design blog. It's a bit unusual, grungy, masculine.
However it may inspire you, I'm sure you will have fun playing with us!
I tried something different than my usual romantic and delicate style. I had this funny pic of my little grungy princess dressing up and striking poses, and I thought it was perfect for this moodboard :)

Have a look at Maja Design blog to see the moodboard and other inspiration from our DT.
