It's been ages since I did a mixed media canvas - I almost forgot how fun it is to work with a project like that! I didn't know when to stop:)
I did a lot of 'recycling' here - first of all I used an old canvas, which was lying around after one unsuccessful experiment with glimmer mists. I gave it a new life by painting over the old coloured layer with gesso and adhering a tissue paper. I whitewashed it with gesso again, added some stencil patterns and different scraps of paper. I also had a photo which I accidentally printed out in a too big format. It gave me an idea to cut out only the silhouette and place it on a note card. At the same time I got more dimension and I got rid of the distracting background in the photo :)
Even the floral chipboards are leftovers from another project, they were already painted, luckily the colours were matching so I could just use them as they were.
I would like to submit this project for Scrapki wyzwaniowo challenge- Scent.
Blue Fern Studios- chipboards, papers, Tim Holtz- Tissue paper, 13 arts - gesso, Prima - flowers, Luminarte - Twinkling H2O, Lindy's Stamp Gang - mists.
